In 2005, founder Brooke Carlson had just begun her yoga teacher training program.  She stocked up on some new yoga gear, including a pair of expensive white pants.  Brooke wore the pants once.  Not being the most meticulous clothing washer, she threw the white pants in with some colored clothing. When the load was finished she had a pair of whitish pants with pink spots all over them. 


Although slightly disappointed in herself for not washing with awareness, Brooke tapped into her fifth chakra to find the design opportunity. She bought a bottle of wine colored Rit dye, and tie-dyed them.  Everyone seemed to love the pants, and before she knew it, people were giving Brooke their own clothes to update with some vibrant colors and fresh designs. It soon became very apparent how hungry people were to have something new and exciting in their yoga wardrobe, something that wouldn't be seen anywhere else, or on any other body. The seed was planted and the manifestation of OmMade began.

Brooke has since upgraded her products and practices.  She still, however, personally designs and creates each one-of-a-kind item out of her home in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she lives with her beautiful son, Gryphon.  When she is not busy making rainbows of clothing, teaching or practicing yoga, she can probably be found reading to her son, or herself, dancing and hooping to some live music, or enjoying some delicious Thai food. 

OmMade is constantly growing and evolving. I have been so blessed on my journey and would like to thank everyone who has helped to inspire, build, and support OmMade.  Extra special gratitude goes out to all of my teachers along the way, including these bright lights in my life - Gryphon, Grant, Glenna, Lily, Lulu, Billyjack, Laurel, Ruby and Tara.  I love you all so much.
